One of the famous waterfalls found in Bukidnon is Dila Falls. It is located within the protected forest of the "Center for Ecological Development and Recreation (CEDAR)" in Impalutao, in the town of Impasug-ong, Bukidnon.
At 960 meters away from the center's entrance, it requires you to trek on lush and thick forest to reach the waterfalls. It would take about 30 minutes to reach Dila Falls from the starting point in CEDAR. Trekking is not a problem as trails were already established going to the falls.
Dila Falls is surrounded by lush green vegetation. Here, you could enjoy taking a plunge in the cold water, take photos or just by savor the beautiful scenery. So, if you're visiting Bukidnon, include a visit to Dila Falls in your itinerary.
HOW TO GET TO CEDAR IN IMPALUTAO
- If you're coming from outside the Philippine, your entry point should be Manila.
- From Manila, take a flight to either Davao City or Cagayan de Oro City.
- From Davao City: Take a bus bound for Cagayan de Oro City at Ecoland Integrated Bus Terminal, buses leave almost every hour. Travel time is 4-5 hours and fare is around 320 pesos (air-conditioned).
- From Cagayan de Oro City: Take bus bound for Valencia or Davao City at Agora Bus Terminal. The bus passes by Malaybalay City. Travel time is around 2-3 hours and fare is 135.00 pesos.
- From Malaybalay City: Take a bus bound for Cagayan de Oro which passes by the town of Impasug-ong. Just tell the driver to drop you at CEDAR in Barangay Impalutao. Travel time is around 30-40 minutes and fare is 20 pesos. Alternatively, you could rent a multicab from the City Center, we got it for 600 pesos, back and forth including the waiting time.
