Cebu is one of the most progressive and highly urbanized provinces in the Philippines. Cebu City as its capital is one of the main centers of commerce and business which forms part of the Cebu Metropolitan Area together with four neighboring cities of Danao City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City and Talisay City and eight other local government units.


It is home to the annual Sinulog Festival, one of the grandest festivals in the Philippines in honor of the Senyor Sto. Niño held every 3rd week of January. Its many pristine white sand beach, dive spots, centuries old churches, rich history and awesome food makes it one of the top tourist destinations in the Philippines and a must-visit among local and foreign tourists.

How to get to Cebu

By Air
The fastest way to reach Cebu is by plane. Cebu City, being one of the most urbanized cities in the Visayas, it can be reached on affordable flights from Manila and other key cities in the country such as Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Boracay, Clark, Siargao, Zamboanga, Cotabato, Camiguin, General Santos, and Tacloban, among many others. Mactan-Cebu International Airport, located in Mactan Island, is the second busiest airport in the country. Philippine Airlines, PAL Express, Air Asia Zest, Tiger Air Philippines and Cebu Pacific Air have several flights daily to Cebu making it one of the most accessible city in the country.

By Sea
Cebu City can also be reached by sea through ferries coming from Manila, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Bohol, Leyte, Iligan, Negros, Butuan and Ozamis among many others.
