Indeed, there’s so much to explore in the Philippines, and the beaches would be on top of the list.
As archipelago of more than 7,000 islands, there are beaches that not so famous yet very beautiful. Some of then are the beaches of Quezon Province. Wondering how to get to Puting Buhangin (Pagbilao), Dampalitan Island and Borawan Island in Quezon province? Here's how:
- If you're coming from outside the Philippines, your point of entry should be the city of Manila.
- From Manila, take a bus bound for Lucena. Jac Liner has daily trips to Lucena, terminals can be found in Pasay-Taft and Kamias along EDSA. Fare is around 220 pesos and travel time is about 3-4 hours.
- Get off at Lucena Grand Terminal. From here, take a mini-bus bound for Unisan or a jeepney bound for Agdangan or a van to Unisan. There are also jeepneys going to Padre Burgos that can be found at SM City Lucena terminal. Get off at QCRB Bank in the town of Padre Burgos. Fare is about 40 pesos and travel time is around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- From here, take a tricycle to Aplaya, just tell the driver you are going to Borawan Island.
- In aplaya, there are boats that can take you on an island-hopping tour in Puting Buhangin (Pagbilao), Dampalitan Island and Borawan Island. Boat rental depends on how many are you in the group, the size of the boat and how many islands you wish to visit. The usual rate is 1,000 to 1,500 pesos.
